So I have been a long time customer of Matt Curry and Andrew Gunn for years when it was Currys and then for a time under Mr Tire. I even stalked Andrew amongst the stores. Fast forward a few years after I lost track of Andrew I was using other mechs. So imagine my surprise when I heard that Matt was coming back under a new name and then I found Andrew even. What could go wrong right? Well nothing. We have a 2016 Ford Explorer eco boost that was experiencing a hard shift issue and a power loss. Took it in to them, determined that a trans flush and service. Got the work done and away we went. Approx 5000 miles later same issue started recurring. We took it to Ford for a diag and they said low on fluid, and added some. Other than that not any issue. Reached back to Andrew and crew and had a discussion (not a pleasant one I might add) and at the end he.asked what they could do to make it right. Not sure.but would advise. Went a few more days, and then the problem recurred, now I was po beyond, and its time for an expert opinion so to off to a trans shop for work. They did a diag and determined that it was destroyed and needed a rebuild using Upgraded Ford Parts. Side note this is a know Ford issue but there is nothing formal out there and if you are out of.warranty even is by 15K as we were they are not going to stand by their product. So good luck Ok back to the story, I called Andrew and gave him and update. This is where the.magic happened. He on his own reached out.to BG products, since we.had just.done the flush and service 5000 miles prior. He.found out that I was eligible for.a partial refund and took care of being the point person, completing and submitting all the required paperwork. When it was all said and done I qualified for a partial refund. At this point a partial is much better than nada. I am so impressed that Andrew and company went that extra mile and did it.so they could make it right. Thank you Andrew and Matt for making us feel like family. Chris Horan Choran518@gmail.com
