Most of the great reviews are when the shop was named Kingstowne Auto and managed by John. SInce then it has been taken over and named Craftsman Auto. I took my two cars there recently and felt like I was overcharged. A survey of the surrounding car repair rates within 5 miles of the area by AutoMD, shows that they have one of the higher rates in labor. Not too happy with their front office condescending attitude, I ‘ve been a KIngstowne auto customer for over 15 years and has always been happy with the service and attitude of the staff. My one time experience with this group resulted in a real bad taste in my mouth and I felt overcharged for the services they provided. I have sent all of my cars there, including other family members and friends. I just don’t think I can recommend this shop to anyone at this point and will look for other auto repairs to bring my cars. _____________________________________________________________ Update: I’m updating my post of 1 star to 4 stars because Matt Curry took the time to reach out and find out what he can do to better serve his customers. I told him that I am willing to give them another chance and bring my car for repair the next time it is needed. Yesterday, I took my car for battery inspection and replacement. I called several repair shops and also Craftsman Auto Repair for a quote. Most of them were in about the same price range including Crafstman. Although when I got there, the quote they gave me was for my other car of the same brand and so the estimate ended up higher. However, I was not worried about this increase because I promised Mr. Curry that I was willing to take another chance with them being such a long time customer. Their service was excellent this time and because it was their mistake in quoting me the price for the battery, in the end they absorbed the difference. I much appreciated this and I did not ask them to change their price. Mr. Curry’s professionalism in reaching and finding out what they can do to improve is refreshing and I hope that they continue to do this.
