I made the mistake of having one of those “chain oil change facilities”, service the a/c in my Ford Explorer. I paid $70 to have them tell me there is a restriction in the system, you’ll need to go to a mechanic, to have it repaired. So, I was fully prepared for the “big” bill, to have some parts replaced. So, when I got the call, that the car was ready and the a/c is working great, and Craftsman told me that all they did, was exactly what I had requested to be done at the “other place”, I was truly surprised. Craftsman, was fully aware of what I had been told. But said they would start from the beginning to make their own diagnosis and go from there. They could have taken advantage, but they were honest, all it need was to be evacuated and charged properly.
