We had one of our Jeep Grand Cherokees serviced yesterday and they did another excellent job. We first brought this vehicle to their shop for service about six weeks ago in order for them to service the vehicle’s air conditioning while at the same time obtaining a second opinion from what the dealership had told us about the repairs that they had claimed were necessary in order for the air conditioning to work. The dealership had informed us that they installed dye in the A/C system and found that the Evaporator was leaking and had to be replaced at a cost of $3,594.53. Since friends more knowledgeable than I on auto A/C systems were skeptical about what the dealership had told me, I contacted Matt Curry’s Fairfax location and arranged to have the A/C system looked at for servicing. The A/C system was evacuated and recharged while including dye in the system. They found that the A/C system held its charge and they saw no evidence of dye leaking. It was great finally having properly functioning air conditioning in our Jeep. Yesterday at no charge to us they looked at the system again and there was no evidence of any dye leaking and the system was properly operating. The cost to us for their servicing of the air conditioning during our initial visit was $258.88. As a result of what we paid at Matt Curry’s Craftsman Auto Care, we saved $3,335.65 over what the dealership was falsely claiming what repairs were needed on our Jeep. Our service advisor Matt fully explained to us the actual work that was required on the air conditioning system along with some additional repairs that we had them perform. They pride themselves in transparency and it is no wonder that Matt Curry’s is so highly rated.
