Be careful with Craftsman Auto, they’re very friendly and nice people but they use that against you and will try to sell you things you don’t need or make it sound like there’s a major issue when there isn’t. They have fancy charts and pictures that will trick people and make their diagnosis look genuine and thorough, but they’re salesman and will take advantage of you. Their diagnosis is misleading and will make you think more is wrong with your car than actually is. Failing items are mixed in with recommended ones with little to distinguish the difference. One guy even acted like he had trouble stopping while pulling my car around at rapid 5 mph speed (should have won an Oscar!). I took my car here for a state inspection, and knew one tire was bad and needed to be replaced. Along with the tire, they tried to tell me the shocks, brakes, the other 3 tires and a number of other maintenance items needed to be done. They failed my inspection for shocks, suspension and all tires. I wanted a second opinion before having them do anything so I took my car to the Honda dealership. The Honda dealership laughed and said they shouldn’t have failed the inspection for anything except the one tire (which I knew about and planned to replace). I had new tires put on at Honda and they passed my car’s inspection. No mention of any other issues. I will not be returning to Craftsman and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else.
