We took our car in for issues with the gear shaft. Unfortunately, what started as a minor issue developed into a lenghty 40 day "car in the shop". The mechanics ran into issues with misplaced car key and trouble reprogramming the new key...computer diagnostics were not done appropriately. But they acknowledge the problem and continued with every effort to troubleshoot and resolved. While it was frustrating, they called and kept us informed. Long story...they accepted responsibility for damages and went above and beyond to remedy the hardship which had been imposed on us. We were pleased at how they truly worked to find a solution, fixed the car and made added other adjustments which we had not requested (ie replacing our battery, etc). We were not charged for anything - and the bill was over $2000 - not expected! We have experienced issues with other local Springfield mechanics not "owning up" to their end of the deal - and leaving us hanging dry - but not this place. Our situation was frustrating for all, however, they demonstrated they value customers and that is very important to us. We will use Carftsman Auto Care (Alexandria) again!

Took my car to Craftsman Auto Care for several mechanical work needed on my Mercedes Benz GL 450. I was a nervous and a little weary because I have never taken my vehicle anywhere but except to the dealer for any required repair work but was recommended by my son to try Craftsman Auto and I’m really glad I did. They were very friendly and knowledgeable on working on Mercedes Benz as well as they also used Mercedes Benz parts which one of the reasons I decided to get the work performed there rather than at the dealership as I normally would have and I’m glad I did. My car runs and sounds great. It runs smooth and sound great like the day when I purchased and drove my vehicle off the dealership lot.

Check Engine light came on, needed some intake repairs, also mechanic showed me severely worn struts. Took care of all repairs quickly, less than a day.

Needed a tire patched and the service was friendly and they worked me in right away.

My Mechanic made sure he told me everything that they would have to do to fix my 1995 Buick. They even gave me a heads up on issues they may run into because of the age of the vehicle. They even took the time to inspect my entire vehicle for other issues and rated the issues as recommend, critical, fix now. Of course the used a different terminology but there was an entire breakdown sent to me in an email...so cool. They said they would work on my car on a Monday morning and I received a call by 11AM that my car was ready for pickup the same day! When I picked up my car I was prepared to dish out the estimated cost, but to my surprise they were able to complete the job under the estimated cost. This was truly a blessing to me.
